Mastering Real Estate Investing – University Curriculum –FACULTY EDITION

If you're teaching real estate investment or finance, you already know the challenge: balancing theory, technique, and practical relevance within a fixed semester. I spent over a decade working on that balancing act at Columbia University's MS in Real Estate Development program, and I built this resource from that experience.

I designed it to support your teaching—not replace it. Students purchase access directly at academic pricing, comparable to a textbook. Your institution pays nothing, and I provide all instructor resources at no charge.

For use in undergraduate, graduate, development, and professional education settings
Designed for use in:
  • Undergraduate real estate finance and investment courses
  • Graduate MSRE, MBA, and related programs
  • Real estate development courses
  • Professional and continuing education settings
Why Faculty Adopt This Resource:
  • Your institution pays nothing—students purchase access like they would a textbook
  • Works with your existing syllabus—use what fits, skip what doesn't
  • Focuses on real-world commercial analysis, not just theory
  • Shows students the techniques they'll actually use in practice
  • Requires minimal prep work—just point students to the modules you want them to see

Curriculum Scope and Structure
Resource scope and structure:

  • Real estate financing techniques
  • Valuation and cash flow analysis
  • Risk, return, and market considerations
  • Case studies with detailed practical analysis
Flexible Implementation – You Decide

  • Use it as a structured companion to your lectures
  • Adopt it as a primary instructional framework
  • Tailor which case study examples and topics fit your course level
  • You retain full control over grading, assessment, and instructional emphasis.
